Body Fiction

In view of the seventh edition of the European Month of Photography in 2019, the University of Luxembourg will organise, with the participation of Café Crème edition and Casino Luxembourg, a conference on the theme of Body Fiction.

Whether through the fragmentary perception of new subjectivities, even stagings deconstructing old models or dematerialisation in the context of virtual worlds, the body today has become the object of new fictions that are declined from the photographic paintings to virtual reality devices.

Speakers analyze these new paradigms of body representations in a context of re-enunciation of the human body where the model male-female is also opposed to the human-machine interface.

Presentation by Paul di Felice (professor at Luxembourg University, curator EMOP Luxembourg) and Pierre Stiwer (curator EMOP Luxembourg)
