Artist(s)
Stina Fisch, Julie Goergen

By means of Cartes blanches, the Casino Luxembourg will be offering Making of participating artists complete control of the programming. Therefore, they are free to either share their own creative world by proposing their own performances or artistic actions, for example, or they can in turn invite participants coming form other disciplines (artistic or not) with whom they would like to work or whom they would like to know.

8.30 p.m. (InfoLab): CASE STUDY - Fictional Artists in American TV Shows. Julie Goergen talks about the representation of "the artist" in TV series. From 7 p.m. on: Stina Fisch presents Visual Potluck:

Visual Potluck:Potluck is a dinner to which everybody contributes by bringing something to be shared. The word Potluck is derived from "Potlatch", a gift-giving festival celebrated by American-Indian tribes. It also works as a primary economic system, where wealth is distributed and shared.

Visual Potluck is a project, a dinner of ideas. We are not sharing food but rather we are sharing wisdom.

You can participate in Visual Potluck with an idea. You can contribute by leaving a message. What do you do that is worth sharing with others, here and today? Be specific. Be personal. Write down one habit, gesture or thought that is important to you.

Stina Fisch will translate your message into a symbol. It will become part of the collectively assembled catalogue of non-physical things important to us today. Throughout the duration of the show visual translations of visitor's messages will be displayed.
