Un pullover — mon alter ego
Sweater and textile processing workshop with Laure Faber, woolINSPIRES.com.
Proposed as part of the exhibition by Nicolas Clément and Barbara Massart at Casino's BlackBox.
Participants are kindly asked to bring an old sweater, handmade or purchased, which they like very much, but which is too old and worn to be worn. Or one of those sweaters we bought but never put for lots of reasons: not flattering, the color is not good, too long, too short, etc.
Inspired by the approach and freedom of expression of Barbara Massart, the workshop proposes to penetrate "in the heart" of this sweater to, undo, transform, reassemble, in short do something else.
The workshop is for anyone who knows how to knit, sew, or loves working with textiles (wool) or for anyone who is simply curious to experiment. Do not hesitate to bring your own material (buttons, ribbons, wool, etc.) that can be useful during your work.
Laure Faber is a passionate knitter, owner and manager of woolINSPIRES.com and historian of contemporary art. She learned how to knit from her mother and improved over time through knitting classes and multiple exchanges. She is fascinated by wool, color techniques and the geography of wool and knitting.
