The video works of the Scottish artist Rachel Maclean (b. 1987, lives and works in Glasgow) immerse viewers in garish fantasy worlds inhabited by grotesque characters. Tapping into a wide range of sources from classic novels and films to TV shows and the Internet, Maclean collates found imagery and dialogues into uncanny narratives about class and identity.

Scrutinizing points of contact between art and music, interpreting myths spawned by rock or underground culture, manipulating its codes and symbols: these operations recur like leitmotifs in the art and artistic journey of Elodie Lesourd (1978*; lives and works in Paris).
