Ceci n’est pas un Casino (This is not a Casino): this must be the most-uttered statement regarding Casino Luxembourg – Forum d’art contemporain to date. Frankly, who would not mistake it for a gambling hall, reading only the name? The title of this exhibition is both programmatic and misleading: it presents contemporary pieces around the subjects of playing and gambling. Each of the artworks constitutes, as it were, an invitation to entertainment, be it through video games, playgrounds or carrousels... But one reality remains: playing impossible!

HONG-KAI WANG : MUSIC WHILE YOU WORK

For its first artist residency this spring, Casino Luxembourg welcomes Taiwanese artist Hong-Kai Wang. During six weeks, Hong-Kai Wang will be pooling her own presence in Casino Luxembourg and the Grand-Duchy as well as concrete and collaborative ‘field work’ in order to cast a new light onto the social reality and cultural and political context of the country.
Her project Music while you work realised during her residency will be shown at the "Aquarium" and will be documented with a publication.
