The concept of ‘Entkunstung’ was coined by Adorno in 1953 to define the work of art’s loss of artistic character and its annihilation by the so called cultural industry. The problem causes a major impact and triggers reactions in the artistic and cultural panorama: a committed art seeking to turn art into a solution rather than a product. This type of art aims at creating other means of expression and communication in order to rebuild a new definition of art in society.
