Slow Teleport (23.6 - 21.8.2019) features the two New York artists Alex Schweder (* 1970) and Ward Shelley (* 1950) and their European colleagues Matthew Brown and Clemens Klein, who as of June 23 will live and work together for ten days in a portable cabin suspended above the labyrinth of the Parc Central in Kirchberg. Ten days without ever leaving the place, where the only interaction with the outside will come from contacts made with the visitors who will want to inquire about the meaning of their work.After this demonstration of "performance architecture", the structure will remain in the labyrinth of the park until the end of September.In a casual and friendly setting, the two resident artists Alex Schweder and Ward Shelley will present the principles of performance architecture and answer questions from the audience.In English

Wie bewegt man sich von Punkt A nach Punkt B, ohne den Boden zu berühren ??? Die Teilnehmer erhalten eine Tasche mit Werkzeugen, mit denen sie sich in der Stadt bewegen können, ohne den Boden zu berühren. Die Füße ruhen auf allen Arten von Kisten, Tellern, Vinyl ... Mag der "Beste" gewinnen! In Zusammenarbeit mit dem Centre Formida 

Alex Schweder erwarb einen BA an der School of Architecture des Pratt Institute, einen Master of Architecture der Princeton University für Architektur an der Princeton University, und promoviert am Department of Architecture der University of Cambridge in Großbritannien. Zu den jüngsten Ausstellungen zählen die Venedig-Biennale 2014, das Kunstmuseum Tel Aviv, die Moskau-Biennale 2013, die Lissabon-Architekturbiennale 2013 und das Tate Britain. Er hielt Residenzen bei der Kohler Company und der Chinati Foundation und erhielt den Rom-Preis für Architektur an der American Academy in Rom. Schweder wird von Edward Cella Art & Architecture in Los Angeles vertreten.Ward Shelley erhielt ein BFA vom Eckard College und einen MA von der New York University. Er hat seine Soloarbeit u.a. in der Pierogi Gallery in New York, in der Massimo Carasi Gallery in Mailand, im Zentrum für zeitgenössische Kunst und Launch-Projekte in Santa Fe und im Socrates Sculpture Park in New York gezeigt. Er erhielt einen Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant, eine Auszeichnung der Joan Mitchell Foundation, zwei Stipendien der New York Foundation for the Arts und ein Stipendium der American Academy in Rom. Shelley wird von der Pierogi Gallery in New York vertreten.
