Iwa-Kagami is a solo conceived and performed by Yuko Kominami, inspired by the last two weeks spent with her dying father. She dances a quest for hope and the attempt to fully enjoy her life to the end. The piece also addresses memory and memories, which are an important part of everyone's identity.

Iwa-kagami, thus the name of a pink flower found in the mountains of Japan. In making this choice of title, Yuko Kominami refers to the memory of her father and the happiness he experienced in discovering similarities with the plant. Transmission is at the heart of this piece. Yuko Kominami pays homage to a person who was dear to her, to his precious memories, as well as to all those who bravely face the process of death.
