In collaboration with Centre Formida / Part of the installation/performance Slow Teleport by Alex Schweder & Ward Shelley (projet 1+1), in collaboration with Fonds Kirchberg

The many devices at play in Slow Teleport are a direct response to its location in the labyrinth of the Parc Central, in Kirchberg. The performance showcases two New York artists, Alex Schweder (b. 1970), Ward Shelley (b. 1950), and European team members Matthew Brown and Clemens Klein. FEVER VON KAROLINA MARKIEWICZ & PASCAL PIRON
as part of the European Month of Photography (EMOP)

The piece thematises the state of high fever when one has fallen ill. Children with high fever may have brief hallucinations (mainly visual and auditory). Fever refers to these brief hallucinations that involve metaphorically the awareness of one’s own body and the environment as well as surrounding bodies.

Hands belonging to different bodies have been photographed and recreated in 3D models. They form a whole spectrum that slowly floats around the visitor.
Depending on the movements and the speed, the spectrum approaches the visitor. The more he / she moves, the more the spectrum approaches.
