Napalm Death & Blockheads @ Kufa

(Conservative Shithead) Journal #4 at 7.50 p.m.Pre-sale (Kulturfabrik): 18 euros + booking fees // On the door: 22 Euros.In the framework of the Altars of Madness exhibition which explores the links between extreme metal and contemporary art, the Centre culturel Kulturfabrik is proud to welcome, on Wednesday 3 July 2013, Napalm Death, one of the greatest icons of the international grindcore scene, accompanied by Blockheads, one of the uncontested leaders of French grindcore.

Considered as one of the founding fathers of grindcore, Napalm Death's career spans more than 30 years. Founded in 1981 near Birmingham in Great Britain and inspired by the punk and punk anarchy waves, the group released many demos before the release of Scum, their first album which became legendary. This album is the precursor of a particular musical genre with some songs which are even shorter than two seconds. This is the case, in particular, for the title You Suffer But Why? which obtained the record for the shortest song of all time and which the group still continues to play live. Napalm Death are known for their militant lyrics, politically left-wing, as is very often the case with grindcore. Currently, Napalm Death's style lies more within the confines of death-metal and grindcore.

The support show will be given by French group, Blockheads. Since their creation in 1992, the group from Nancy have become ever-more notorious and tour the whole of Europe.

Before the concert, at 7.50 p.m., the organisers would like to gather you for a presentation of C.S. (Conservative Shithead) Journal #4 by Xavier Chevalier (artist and lead singer of the group, Blockheads) in the presence of the artist and the publishers, Damien Deroubaix and Jérôme Lefèvre, who are also curators of the Altars of Madness exhibition.
