Claudine Kaell, architect

Following an invitation-only architectural competition, architect Claudine Kaell was entrusted with the task of the architectural transformation of the Casino's ground floor in 2016.

The project foresees a more pragmatic and fluid reorganisation of the interior spaces, as well as improved accessibility to the public (with an extra entrance via the boulevard Roosevelt). The ground floor will have, next to the existing library, an entirely redesigned welcome area, projection halls for artists' videos and documentaries about exhibitions held at the Casino Luxembourg, a space dedicated to learning activities and creative workshops, and a café-restaurant which will strengthen the venue's friendly identity.
