My Ears Are My Eyes

Additional session: 20:00

Performance by Leonie Brandner with the choir Jubilatt in the framework of the research unit Woven in Vegetal Fabric: On Plant Becomings

Venue: Casino Display, 1, rue de la Loge, L-1945 Luxembourg

My Ears Are My Eyes is an elaboration on how we shape our world through listening, sleeping and storytelling, told through the story of a flower blossoming at night – the Evening Primrose. It is a multisensory installation in the form of a night garden. There is the sound of crickets and the subtle scent of Evening Primroses, while a spotlight travels slowly over the installation.

Free entry. CovidCheck 2G+

Leonie Brandner makes objects from everyday materials, she embroiders, sings and writes poems. She is interested in material narratives, how things tell stories and how materials are linked to the narrative experience. Leonie is also invested in dreams and wishes, functionality and the feeling of being a necessary part of a system - in short, she is interested in belonging, how she belongs, how we belong, how things belong to a situation.
